PLEASE NOTE: DELIVERY and SHIPPING FEES Reasonable effort will be made to combine add-on orders for shipping, and to combine add-on orders with pledge level rewards. This may result in significantly reduced actual shipping costs. If actual shipping cost is significantly less than what you paid, refunds will be made with delivery (rounded up to the nearest dollar and not including packaging and handling costs). Items will be shipped together in Feb/Mar 2020, except War of Gods ARCs. The eARC will be delivered in April. The paperback ARC should arrive by the date of release, May 19, 2020.

Moving right along!

Hi folks! Just jumping in to say things are moving well behind the scenes here. I'm getting all the little ducks in a row for production of all the rewards and add-ons, and finishing up the BackerKit and Survey. Ed Binkley has begun work on the art as well. I can't wait to see the first sketches!

The BackerKit will be available to everyone right after the Kickstarter splashes down from its three week flight on Monday, November 18, at 11:59pm EST. The survey will be sent two weeks after that, on Tuesday, December 3.

We're in the slow middle-part of the Kickstarter now, which is to be expected, but if you want to share to keep things buzzing, that would be awesome.

Hi everyone! 12 days to go and I couldn't be happier. Thank you all again for the your generous support. I've been putting together the Backerkit and plan to send the survey 2 weeks after the finish of the Kickstarter on November 18.

While working on the Backerkit and survey, I realized I had failed to list the exclusive limited edition Rise of Gods alternative cover paperback in the Manu pledge level, which is supposed to include all the rewards (except Critiques and the Con Hangout) as well as all the currently listed add-ons. I can't fix that on the Kickstarter page, but please know that it has been included in that pledge level in Backerkit and all Manu backers will receive it as part of their pledge package. Sorry for any confusion!

Stretch Goal #2 is funded - WE HAVE COLOR!

Stretch Goal #2 has been funded, and the hardcover will now include a color illustration of The Prathamaja Nandana by the fabulously talented Ed Binkley. Chapter headings and other embellishments will be printed in color as well. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. This book will now be everything I ever wanted it to be, and that all of you so much deserve - and it's all thanks to you! Thank you everyone! What's next? A new short story set in the world of Paternus! 

STRETCH GOAL #3 - UNLOCKED! $15,000

If we fund this stretch goal, I will write an all new short story set in the world of Paternus. I haven't decided exactly what it will be yet, but most likely a backstory piece about Pratha or Myrddin Wyllt (another readers' favorite character) based on my (literally) hundreds of pages of Paternus world history notes.

I have to tell you, though, because of day-job commitments, those of the day-to-day-activities of self-publishing, and a looming release date of May 19, 2020 for Book 3, Paternus: War of Gods, I won't be able to write this until next summer, 2020. It will then be delivered to all backers as an eBook. It will also, however, be included in the hardcover edition of Book 2, Paternus: Wrath of Gods, which I will definitely be launching another Kickstarter for next year.

Why is this stretch goal dollar amount set so high, you may ask? Fair question that deserves an honest answer. I am a very slow writer, and with all my other commitments I get only a few hours to write each day. This short story will take at least a month of my writing time, maybe even longer. During that time I also won't be able to work on my next planned writing projects. Those are my excuses, anyway, and I'm sticking to them :)
