Hello everyone! Very sorry that some of you haven't received your international packages yet. Between COVID and customs (who are blaming COVID also), this has become a bit of a nightmare. I know of at least a half dozen folks who haven't received their packages yet. From what I'm hearing, it's mostly in Norway, Denmark, NZ and Australia so far.
If you haven't received your package, please respond here so we can get a better picture of the problem.
One thing to keep in mind is that the US postal service can't track anything beyond when it leaves the sorting facility in Illinois, so using that to try and track packages outside the US doesn't work. You won't see anything beyond Illinois, even if the package is on its way or already arrived.
A couple of folks have spoken to their postal and/or customs service and found that their packages were stuck in customs. Some say their postal service and customs blamed COVID and told them to wait. Others were able to go pick up their packages.
Though the US tracking code doesn't work officially outside the US, I've heard from a few folks, including in India, who said they were able to use the code when speaking to their postal service and/or customs and indeed track down their packages.
Beyond that, there is always the possibility that a package has been lost. The big question now is, how long do we wait? I'd love to hear what you all think.

Potential International Shipping Customs Form Value Issue

Hi folks. This is embarrassing and frustrating, and again my apologies. It's come to my attention that the declared value on customs forms may be much higher than it should be. This only applies to international deliveries of more than one book. If you just got the hardback, you're all set.
When filling out online customs forms, the amount entered is per unit, not total. If, for example, you got a hardback and a paperback, the value is $25+$20=$45. This is not very clear on the forms, and some of them may have have filled out incorrectly. For example, if items were entered as 2 books, value $45, the form will show a total declared value of 2x$45=$90 instead of just $45.
If you are hit with a higher tariff than you should be, please let me know and I will refund the difference.

Plague be damned, books are packed and shipped

It took 6 days of sorting and uploading databases and four days of packing, but I'm thrilled to report that all of the boxes have now been shipped.
Some procedural stuff first, then some pics of packing madness:
Just as a reminder, the paperback ARCs of book three of The Paternus Trilogy, War of Gods, won't ship until two or three weeks before the release date of June 23. The eBook ARCs will be uploaded and available on May 23, one month prior to the release date.
Due to the various lockdowns in response to the corona virus, the post office has announced that shipping may take longer than usual, especially to some international destinations. Sorry about that :/
Everyone except international backers should have now received an email with your shipping date and tracking information. International backers might get one, but there is some question about that, for some reason. Please check your spam folders if you haven't seen the email. If you haven't received your package within two or three weeks, please let me know and I'll see what I can find out from here.
Also, if there is any problem with your items when delivered, including if you think I forgot to put something in there (which is entirely possible), please let me know and I will make it right ASAP.
During the campaign, I promised to refund shipping payment overages - and I will still do that! It may take me awhile, but if you paid over $2 more for actual shipping cost, I will be sending those out... at some point. It's not a matter of having the funds, but it's going to take some serious database mojo to figure it all out and prep the mailing and I'm under a serious time crunch with day job work and, more importantly, finishing up book 3. Thank you for your patience!
I'm hoping to run the Kickstarter for the hardbacks for book two, Wrath of Gods, later this summer or early fall, but it's all a little up in the air with the virus rampaging across the globe. Hopefully it will all be over by then and we can back to something resembling normal.
Aaaaand - the book has an error! I didn't find it until recently, after printing was done. After completely freaking out for awhile, I was told by a friend to consider it as a "collectible blemish." Okay, I guess, but I apologize nonetheless. Here is what it looks like:

So anyway - shipping fun!
I recruited the help of my sister, niece and nephews, which helped tremendously and we actually had a lot of fun.
(Yes my eyes are closed, but I promise I wasn't sleeping ;)
Then we jam packed the van!
Then I filled up my little car again just today. And it's all beyond worth it. Thank you all for coming along on this book adventure!
